Having sailed her Monte Carlo 43 for the past 15 years, including 2 Atlantic crossings, Italian Captain Mira is an experienced skipper that fell in love with the San Blas islands. The past 10 years, Mira has spent her sailing days in the archipelago, welcoming guests aboard her sailboat. Mira loves to cook her native Italian cuisine as well as Middle Eastern dishes, which will delight your senses. Discover the most beautiful islands with Mira, as she shares her passion for life and the ocean with you.

Captain Mira speaks Italian, English, German and Spanish and is looking forward to make your San Blas vacation an unforgettable adventure.

ABOUT THE BOAT

Built in 1988, this Montecarlo 43 monohull sailboat is a spacious center cockpit boat. With ample space inside and on deck, guests will have room for privacy. The large aft double cabin features a private bathroom and shower.

Cruise around the islands with a SUP board or explore the colorful reefs with snorkel.

SAILBOAT CHARTER CANCELATION POLICY

Tao Travel 365 strives to deliver the best possible customer experience. If at any point you have a question or concern about our service, please call us by phone at +1 (805) 826-3657 or email us at sales@taotravel365.tours.

SAILBOAT CHARTER POLICIES

Due to the nature of our business, the limited supply of sailboat charters in San Blas and the high reservation demand a 100% refund less credit card processing fees will only be granted if booked via our website www.taotravel365.tours AND if canceled more than 30 days before the check-in date. A partial refund of 50 percent less credit card processing fees will be granted if Tao Travel 365 receives notice at least 20 days in advance of your check-in date. For cancellations received less than 20 days before your check-in date, no refund will be granted. All sales are final.

For all bookings made via outside portals such as, but not limited to Viator, Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Hotels.com, please refer to the respective cancelation policy of the portal that you booked with.

If you are unable to realize the reservation, contact us as soon as possible and we will try to arrange and reschedule the same or different sailboat charter for you.

If you are not at the designated meeting point by the time of your scheduled reservation or pick up, Tao Travel 365 reserves the right not to provide a refund. However, we will always try our best to locate you at the meeting point and call your WhatsApp number, if one was provided. After all, we want you to visit San Blas and to have fun. That is our goal!

CANCELED OR POSTPONED SAILBOAT CHARTERS

Occasionally, reservations are canceled or postponed due to weather or ocean conditions, mechanical failure, or other unforeseen events. Should this occur, we will attempt to contact you about the cancellations and to inform you of refund or exchange procedures for that sailboat charter. For exact instructions on any canceled or postponed sailboat charter, please contact us. In the case of a cancellation of your sailboat charter by Tao Travel 365, we will refund your sailboat charter or schedule you for another sailboat charter, as detailed below.

REFUNDS

All sales are final. No refunds are available unless an sailboat charter is canceled within the cancelation guidelines (see section I.), or canceled or postponed by Tao Travel 365 (see section II.). We will offer refunds of the full face value of the reservation(s) that are canceled or postponed (or, if a discounted reservation, then instead the discounted reservation price paid). No refunds are offered on any service, payment processing or convenience fees.

To receive a refund for a canceled or postponed sailboat charter, contact us at sales@taotravel365.tours within 3 days of the sailboat charter cancellation and write "refund" in the subject line. Instructions will be provided in order to obtain your refund.

SAILBOAT CHARTER EXCHANGES

No exchanges are offered by Tao Travel 365. While in some extreme cases we may offer this service (such as a cancellation by Tao Travel 365), it is not guaranteed and often impossible. Contact us directly by email at sales@taotravel365.tours to inquire about exchanges. Fees may apply.

Sailboat Charter Disclaimer - Please read before booking

A vacation on a sailboat charter can be the experience of a lifetime and give you unforgettable memories. In order to properly prepare you for your trip and align expectations, please take some time to read each point below. If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of them, we will gladly answer any of them.

All Sailboat Charters in San Blas are hosted on privately owned sailboats. Please be aware that the Captain and crew will be welcoming you into their home and that they will share their island lifestyle with you.
A sailboat charter is not a hotel resort experience that has waiters and staff. Please be respectful towards the Captain and his Crew.
Always follow Captain’s orders! For your safety and the safety of the boat, please adhere to the instructions of the Captain and Crew.
Fresh Water - Sailboats carry only a limited amount of fresh water with them. Please be aware of your water consumption when taking showers.
Bathrooms - Sailboat bathrooms have marine toilets that function differently than the toilets you are used to from home. Please follow the instructions given by the Captain on how to use them and DO NOT flush any paper into the toilet.
Wifi and Cell-phone coverage - The islands of San Blas are located in a remote area. While some islands may receive cell phone signal, others may not have any. Cell phone signal even in the “good coverage” areas can often be unreliable. If you need to stay connected, please inform us and your Captain in order for us to plan the itinerary accordingly. We recommend that you purchase pre-paid phone cards with Tigo and Digicel, which will provide you with the necessary wifi and cell coverage.
Dietary Restrictions - Please inform us as soon as possible, if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies. Sailboat charters generally serve lots of fresh seafood.
Luggage - Sailboats have limited space available and cabins are generally very small. Please pack lightly and avoid bringing rigid suitcases. You won’t need much in San Blas. If you travel with lots of luggage, most hotels in Panama City will gladly store it until you return from your trip.
What to bring - bathing suits, bio degradable sunscreen, insect repellant, hat, sunglasses, extra cash for souvenirs.
Sailboat itinerary - We suggest a minimum of 3 nights for each sailboat charter in order to explore different islands and areas. We recommend to book 4 nights, if you would like to visit the remote Holandes Cays. Itineraries ultimately depend on weather and ocean conditions and are determined by the Captain.
Transportation to the sailboat - We will arrange your roundtrip transportation, which is in a shared 4x4 SUV (one guest up front, three guests in the middle row and two guests in the back row) and a shared Lancha boat.

- Car transportation - the ride to San Blas takes 2.5 to 3 hours, with 1.5 hours over slow, curvy roads with potholes. For those with motion sickness, please prepare accordingly
- Boat transportation - depending on weather and ocean conditions, the 30-45 minute boat ride might be bumpy and wet with ocean spray. Lanchas are very basic speedboats and operated by Kunas. Do not expect any luxury transportation.

We kindly ask our guests to visit San Blas with an open mind and to focus on the beautiful paradise that San Blas has remained despite the effects that modern society. The Kunas are very gentle and kind people, but can also be somewhat shy at times. When approaching them with a smile and an open heart you will be guaranteed an innocent, happy smile in return.

 Verified  Sehr tolles Erlebnis und nur zu empfehlen. Der Transport hat gut geklappt, allerdings sollte man je nach Fahrer Reisetabletten für die wirklich sehr kurvige Strecke dabei haben. Die Bewohner der Insel haben einen ganz toll bewirtet und es war ein einmaliges Erlebnis Zeit auf so einer Trauminsel zu verbringen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und zu Fisch oder Hähnchen gab es immer verschiedene Beilagen. Zimmer und Bäder waren trotz ihrer Einfachheit gut gepflegt

   Hicimos el tour a Islas San Blas, y una atención muy buena. Te informan bien de todo, además contacto directo para avisar de horario recogida etc… He oído a menudo que una vez en la vida hay que ir a New York, yo digo que una vez en la vida hay que ir a las Islas San Blas. Eso si que es caribe caribe!!! Love it. Una maravillosa experiencia en Yani Island (una de las islas donde te puedes alojar) Tao travel 365 gracias y recomendable contratar con ellos.

 Verified  Amazing time, would recommend to anyone - groups, couples and solo travellers Yani Island was an incredible experience; their home island is exceptionally beautiful and the family are extremely welcoming and friendly. The island is small but that's where the charm is; it's not packed at all, I though it was the perfect place to relax, honestly feeling very rejuvenated after two nights there. The food is really good as well, always fresh and very tasty. It's very clear they care a lot about their guests, and everyone was very well looked after.It's well worth the price, just remember to bring cash in 1 and 5 dollar bills.110% recommend Yani Island to anyone looking for a trip to Kuna Yala, and if you're thinking about it, you won't be disappointed at all.Muchas gracias a la gente de la Isla!

 Verified  A paradise in the middle of the sea The islands of San Blas are beautiful, we left on the island with the boat sunk in a private cabin, we really liked the food and the views. The beach has plenty of space to relax, sunbathe and go snorkeling next to the sunken boat. There are islands very close by that are beautiful and we went to visit them after our Czech out and our last lunch was on another island.It is worth the 3 hours by car and the 30 minutes by boat to visit this paradise. If you are in Panama it would be a sin not to visit San Blas

Effectivement la route peut sembler « chaotique » dans le sens où la dernière heure pour arriver aux bateaux contient beaucoup de virages et de montées/descentes mais notre chauffeur était expérimenté et prévenant ! Le bateau s’est très bien passé pour aller sur l’île Yanis. Et là, on en a pris plein les yeux. L’île est magnifique, entourée d’une eau turquoise où on peut observer une multitude de poissons. Tout est très bien organisé. Notre cabane était prête à notre arrivée, quel bonheur de voir la faune maritime du balcon. Les repas sont certes sommaires mais copieux et savoureux. Nous avons passé une après-midi sur l’île à naviguer entre snorkeling, repos dans les hamacs, promenades autour de l’île. La douche avec vue sur l’eau était vraiment agréable même si roots. Le lendemain, après le déjeuner, nous sommes allés faire du snorkelling sur une autre île avec une épave et avons pu observer beaucoup de poissons nous avons fini par une piscine naturel av de rentrer

 Verified  Wauw! ☺Desondanks dat de mensen daar geen Engels konden hebben ze enorm hun best gedaan om alles uit te leggen. Het verblijf was geweldig en op het eiland rondlopen was een unieke ervaring. ☹Het vervoer naar het eiland werd pas achteraf uitgelegd en mee in prijs genomen dit was jammer verder was het eten enorm lekker maar er was weinig variatie.

 Verified  Don’t hesitate to book for comfortable San Blas experience! ☺Amazing stay. The people here are so kind and friendly, welcoming and helpful. They made so much effort to ensure I was comfortable. The Accomodation is clean and as pictured with a private bathroom. Of course basic but if planning a trip to San Blas you need to manage your expectations! I booked at short notice and everything was arranged so smoothly, very easy process for transfer from Panama City. The food was delicious. Beach on the island very nice and the excursions were excellent. I highly recommend booking this place! The price includes all meals and boat from the port. Car from Panama City and taxes are extra but not expensive. ☹Unfortunately there were storms most of the time I was there and it got a bit cold and wet but that’s out of everyone’s  control.

   It was a good tour... San Blas is beautiful and I'm so glad I had a restful first day on Asserya Island before the island hopping boat tour on the next day. It was a good decision to go with this tour package considering I only had booked the trip to Panama last minute. The communication with the agency was a bit of a struggle though at times - don't get me wrong, it wasn't the worst but definitely it could take days before they responded or you might just need to ask a couple of times. I think apart from the communication, it was overall wonderful & I met some great people on both the island and the boat tour too. It was also so special to see the Indigenous Kuna people taking care of the islands and in charge of these beautiful places... paradise! One of my highlights is to see glimpses into how the Kuna people live & the way they do community on the islands. I had Eric as the boat tour guide, he was good and clear in his communication and instructions. The tour also allowed you to explore the islands on your own too which was important for me ;) Thank you Tao Travel for an overall good trip! All the best

   We had an amazing experience with this company when booking a tour to San Blas. Their website is very informative and the booking process and payment went smoothly. Fast communication and on the date and time their driver was at our hotel. From then on everything went according to plan and there was always someone "taking care of us" and making sure all schedules were met. We did the 2 days/1 night tour and it was amazing to stay in the island after the daytrippers were gone and enjoy that special atmosphere (same for waking up there the next day). We did it with our 5 year old daughter and she loved it, everyone was really nice to her. Couldn't reccommend more!

 Verified  Thanks for this unique experience!!! We had an amazing experience during our two days in San Blas. My wife and I loved the big sandy beach and the snorkel shipwreck so close by. Food was tasty and fresh. The beach cabin is comfortable and close to the ocean, which is a soothing sound falling asleep at night. The Kunas so sweet and friendly. We will come back again for sure.  Verified  Highlight of our stay in Panama ☺The staff was super friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the view being right on the water! The island itself has so much to offer in terms of pristine water and water activities (swimming, snorkeling, etc) and we also loved the daily excursions they took us on to other nearby islands for just an additional $3 per person per excursion. ☹Facilities are pretty bare and basic, but quite comparable to what you get at competing properties/islands. Be sure to bring a portable charger for concenience as the rooms do not have any outlets, however, the staff will let you charge devices in their home

   What an incredible experience!  We spent one overnight/2 days on the San blas islands!  I highly highly recommend staying on isla Perro in the private cabin with shared bathroom!  For one, there was shipwreck snorkeling right off the shore and beautiful coral reefs encircling the entire island! We saw countless fish, crabs, thriving reefs, and a huge stingray! Isla perro, in my opinion, definitely had the best snorkeling!  For two, the cabin, although very bare bones, was perfect!  The balcony was literally over the shore! We had a private little beach area and a hammock! This is the perfect little corner of the Caribbean!  Highly recommend taking a visit!

   We had a beautiful time on the island! A peaceful and tranquil little island getaway.  We enjoyed not having to think too much, and the boat trip to the sunken pirate ship was incredible, some of the best coral I’ve ever seen were growing on the boat.    Yani Island was beautiful and met our expectations.  Expect nice camping with flush toilets and beds. All the people were very nice. The food was good and you never left a meal hungry. Kayak, SUPing, and daily snorkeling tours were also available free of charge.

 Verified  Back to basics met basiscomfort ☺Nette kamer met eigen badkamer, vriendelijke mensen. ☹Op foto’s van de deluxe kamer wordt een balkon getoond. Dit is echter NIET aanwezig, wat erg jammer is aangezien dit voor ons de reden was om hier te boeken. Let er ook op dat er per persoon nog heel wat bijkomende kosten zijn bij het verblijven op San Blas: 50$ vervoer, 20$ douane, 20$ belastingen (booking), excursies (variabel), 20$ voor check-out na 8 AM.  Verified  Perfect and unforgettable ☺On the Island and in this accomodation you’re dreams come true :) beautiful island, wonderful caribbean Water and gorgeous Reefs for snorkeling. Very friendly people, they help you whereever they can and offered us 3 wonderful days, tours to Other Islands included.  Verified  A unique and beautiful experience ☺lovely stay! it was a truly special experience to stay with the kuna people and learn about their history and culture. San Blas is extremely beautiful and it was included to go on daily trips. The hosts were very kind and the food was over expectations.  Verified  Nice hotel but better book directly with the hotel (Cabañas Niadub) ☺- Very nice staff - Nice island - Good food (considering their possibilities) ☹- Rather expensive - Not much to do - don‘t stay too long - Important: When you book here on booking.com you book through the agency „Enjoy San Blas“.  Verified  Magisch ☺Tolle Unterkunft- wirklich ein Traum! Die Unterkunft war ein wenig teuer, doch sie hat unsere Erwartungen komplett erfüllt. Es hat alles bestens geklappt und wir konnten nichts bemängeln. Die Inselbewohner sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und haben uns alle Wünsche erfüllt! Absolut eine Reise wert. ☹Preis ein wenig teuer, aber es muss halt alles auf die Insel kommen.

 Verified  Confort sommaire pour une experience sensationnelle et inédite ! ☺Situation paradisiaque : une cabane posée sur une minuscule ile. Le confort est très sommaire : peu d'électricité, pas de ventilateur, propreté hésitante. Mais le tout fait parti de l'experience : on va a San Blas pour une déconnexion totale et un séjour a la robinson Crusoé ! Le réveil a 6h avec le lever du soleil sur l'eau turquoise vaut tout le reste. Les excursions sont superbes, ils nous emmènent visiter d'autres petites iles et manger des fruits frais au bord de l'eau ☹La propreté des logements La nourriture : on s'attendait a beaucoup de poisson grillés, mais nous avons mangé principalement du poulet amené en bateau ! Les boissons sont payantes, pensez a emmener de l'eau et éventuellement quelques snacks.
