Bali jungle rivers cascade down from the volcanic highlands in the center of Bali, carving impressive ravines that are some of the most distinct features of Bali’s geography. The southern slopes of Bali are quite densely populated, and rafting is by far the best way to experience these pristine and unspoiled jungle canyons.

While the rivers may not offer the world’s most thrilling rapids, this rafting experience offers the perfect balance of excitement and pleasure of seeing the Ubud jungle area from a totally different and unexpected angle. Guests participating in this experience will be surprise and amazed by the pristine forest valleys that exist just a short stone’s throw away from bustling Ubud town.

Our rafting tour takes guests on the longest rafting trips along the Ayung Valley, clocking in at 12km (7.5 miles).

TOUR OVERVIEW

Your friendly English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your lodging by 7:00am (pick up times may vary depending on where in Bali you are located) and safely drive you to the rafting tour starting point near Ubud town. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by your river tour guide and fitted with a life preserver, helmet and oar. 

Hopping into the back of a shuttle you guests are transported on a 5 minute drive up the hill to the launch location. Disembarking the mini truck, guests descend a flight of stairs through the jungle. After arriving at the river, your tour guide will brief the raft crew on safety protocols and raft procedures. The fun part starts the moment your raft launches into the river rapids. 

As your raft captain navigates down the river and many rapids and small, but exhilarating drops, enjoy the jaw dropping scenery. Marvel at the stone carvings along the river bed, bathe under waterfalls, watch for wildlife in the dense jungle or just simply sit back and enjoy the fun adventure, gliding along the Ayung river. 

After about an hour, you will approach the final and biggest drop, ensuring you will leave this experience pumped up and ready for your Ubud town visit.

Upon your return to the rafting base guests are welcome to take a shower and indulge in a small buffet of Balinese cuisine and fresh fruit.

Your tour guide/driver will be waiting for you to continue your tour, driving you to the center of Ubud town. Visit a museum, explore the colorful art market, recharge your energy on a traditional coffee farm and take poster worthy photos overlooking the rice fields of the Tegallalang rice terrace.

As your tour concludes, your happy driver will return you to your lodging. Sit back, relax and let the new feelings and experiences of the day sink in. We know you will have a happy smile on your face.
