We take you to Isla Aroma for a laid-back day by the Caribbean Sea. Shared road and boat transfers and an island lunch are included. Isla Aroma is part of Guna Yala, the homeland of the Guna people.

San Blas Beach Day at a Glance
- Experience: A relaxed beach day on Isla Aroma, with no scheduled island-hopping stops
- Departure: Panama City hotel or lodging pickup, usually between 5:00 and 5:45 AM

What to Expect on Your Beach Day
Your driver picks you up at your Panama City lodging early in the morning. The shared 4x4 journey to the Port of Carti takes roughly 2.5–3 hours along winding mountain roads. The drive is part of visiting this remote region; traffic, road conditions and stops may affect the timing.
At the port, our local team coordinates your boat transfer to Isla Aroma. The ride is usually about 15–20 minutes but may take longer or feel bumpy or wet depending on conditions. Once there, you can swim, walk along the shore, rest in the shade and enjoy your included lunch. A chair, umbrella or snorkeling equipment may be available for a separate charge; bring your own snorkeling gear if you intend to use it.
The boat returns to Carti in the afternoon, followed by the drive to Panama City. This is a rustic island experience with simple facilities and a flexible local schedule. Boat and island services are provided locally within Guna Yala.

- 5:00–5:45 AM: Pickup in Panama City
- Around 9:00 AM: Arrival at the Port of Carti
- Morning to afternoon: Boat transfer and time on the island, including lunch
- Around 3:45–4:00 PM: Return boat toward Carti
- Around 4:30 PM: Depart the port by 4x4
- Around 7:00 PM: Return to Panama City
All times are approximate and may shift with traffic, weather, sea conditions and local operations. We expect to return to Panama City around 7:00 PM.

Sun-protective clothing can help reduce the amount of sunscreen that enters the water. Follow local guidance when swimming near sensitive marine areas.

- Early departure: Expect a full day and a roughly 2.5–3 hour mountain drive in each direction.
- Boat conditions: The boat has a sun-protection awning; the ride may be bumpy or wet.
- Facilities: The islands are rustic, with simple amenities and services provided by the local Guna community.
- Destination: This tour visits Isla Aroma. If conditions require an itinerary change, we will inform you.
- Last-minute bookings: Reservations made after 6:00 PM for the next day require confirmation from our team.

Is this an island-hopping tour?
No. This San Blas beach trip is planned around spending the day on one island. For multiple islands and a Natural Pool stop, choose the San Blas island-hopping tour.
Which island does this tour visit?
We take you to Isla Aroma for the beach day. If weather or sea conditions require an itinerary change, our team will let you know.
How long is the trip from Panama City?
The overall day is approximately 14 hours. Plan on about 2.5–3 hours by road each way, plus a boat transfer that is generally around 15–20 minutes each way when conditions permit.
Is lunch included?
Yes. We include lunch and one drink. Request dietary alternatives when booking so we can confirm availability.
Is snorkeling equipment included?
No. Snorkeling equipment costs $5 when available. Bring your own gear if snorkeling is a priority.
What fees should I bring cash for?
Bring cash for the separately payable Guna Yala entrance fee and any optional chair, umbrella, snorkeling gear, souvenirs or extra refreshments. Check the current fees before you travel.
Can I book for tomorrow?
Yes, subject to availability and confirmation. Bookings placed after 6:00 PM for the next day should not be considered confirmed until our team confirms the itinerary.

Due to the nature of our business, the logistics involved with organizing tours and the high reservation demand following refund policies apply:
- 100% refund less credit card processing fees will only be granted if booked via our website www.taotravel365.tours AND if canceled more than 24 hours before the start of the tour.
- No refund will be granted for cancelations received less than 24 hours before the tour start date.
All sales are final.
For all bookings made via outside portals such as, but not limited to Viator, Expedia, Airbnb, please refer and adhere to the respective cancellation policy of the portal that you booked with.
If you are unable to realize the reservation, contact us as soon as possible and we will try to arrange and reschedule the same or different tour for you.
If you are not at the designated meeting point by the time of your scheduled reservation or pick up, Tao Travel 365 reserves the right not to provide a refund. However, we will always try our best to locate you at the meeting point and call your WhatsApp number, if one was provided. We want you to enjoy your tour.
CANCELED OR POSTPONED TOURS
Occasionally, tours are canceled or postponed due to weather or ocean conditions, mechanical failure, or other unforeseen events. Should this occur, we will attempt to contact you about the cancellations and to inform you of refund or exchange procedures for that tour. For exact instructions on any canceled or postponed tour, please contact us. In the case of a cancellation of your tour by Tao Travel 365, we will refund your tour or schedule you for another tour, as detailed below.
REFUNDS
All sales are final. No refunds are available unless a tour is canceled or postponed, or we are given 24 hours advance noticed whereby a 100 percent refund will be awarded. We will offer refunds of the full face value of the tour(s) that are canceled or postponed (or, if a discounted tour, then instead the discounted tour price paid). No refunds are offered on any service, payment processing or convenience fees. To receive a refund for a canceled or postponed tour, contact us at sales@taotravel365.tours within 2 days of the tour cancellation and write "refund" in the subject line. Instructions will be provided in order to obtain your refund.
TOUR EXCHANGES
No tour exchanges are offered by Tao Travel 365. While in some extreme cases we may offer this service (such as a cancellation by Tao Travel 365), it is not guaranteed and often impossible. A paradise in the middle of the sea The islands of San Blas are beautiful, we left on the island with the boat sunk in a private cabin, we really liked the food and the views. The beach has plenty of space to relax, sunbathe and go snorkeling next to the sunken boat. There are islands very close by that are beautiful and we went to visit them after our Czech out and our last lunch was on another island.It is worth the 3 hours by car and the 30 minutes by boat to visit this paradise. Also be sure to get your national park pass done before the tour starts for zapatilla island- they communicated that very clearly which was so nice. The day was absolutely beautiful and did not feel rushed or too much. We left at 10 and got back around 4:30. (Lunch is the last thing and only cash so make sure to eat something before you go!) He was an excellent driver & host, & very considerate, driving slower on the downhill drive to the beach when some of us became nauseous. ADVICE-take your nausea meds when you stop at the gas station! Not later! Trust me! He also made the tour extra special when he spotted a sloth, toucan & a monkey in the trees & stopped to allow us to take pictures & see them up close. He has the eyes of an eagle! Don't know HOW he spotted them while driving! Regarding the San Blas Island tour- BREATHTAKING! Absolutely LOVED this tour. If I had one negative comment it would be to skip the last island (unnecessary) & allow guests to enjoy the island where we had lunch. Getting in/out of the boat is NOT easy. 2 islands+sand bar is enough for this tour! Also, 6 people don't fit "comfortably" in these SUV's! Swimming, snorkeling, etc. Our guides were nice and helpful. I’m glad we got to experience this. Sunscreen and bug spray are a must. We also took water shoes and found this helpful.I will say for the motion sickness people: if you are mildly motion sick, you will be fine on the last part of the drive. It’s paved most of the way. It’s a lot of steep hills and winding motions. I took Dramamine and did just fine. If you get severely motion sick, I don’t know that this would be good for you.Posted on Google

Just a FYI if you experience motion sickness, please take something prior to the ride through the Guna Yala territory. The rode is very winding and hilly. My friend got sick from the ride. Once we arrived at San Blas island it was absolutely amazing. The views were breathtaking. The natural pool was amazing. Our driver Javier picked us up on time and drove very well- even on the curvy roads in the San Blas territory! The ride to get to the port at San Blas is very long, and the boat ride to the islands is a little bumpy, but trust me, it’s absolutely worth the rides. Karen SibertNovember 23, 2024Overall, the San Blas Tour was worth the effort. Transportation was timely and much less stressful than anticipated. Roads were completely paved, and although there were lots of switchbacks through the mountains (2nd hour of the drive), I was never uncomfortable (except for the ride through the city on the return trip -- lots of potholes and terrible traffic). The first two islands we visited were amazing and beyond beautiful. Lunch was nothing special but entirely edible. The last stop was Devil's Island, which was a total disappointment and could have been left off of the itinerary. The beach was rocky, there was limited seating outside of the main patio and in general the appearance paled in comparison to the previous two. I wasn't particularly interested in island hopping and would've preferred an option to visit one island for the entire time. GunneJanuary 11, 2024Ein kleines Paradies zum Entschleunigen Ein kleines Paradies: Eine Insel in der Karibik mit 130m Durchmesser. 245 Palmen drauf, ein paar Hütten für 2-4 Personen, ein Haus mit mehreren Zimmern (sehr einfach!), einfachste Sanitäranlagen und ein Gemeinschaftsbereich, wo auch gegessen wird. Außenrum: Türkisblaues Meer zum Schwimmen und Schnorcheln. Sehr nette Gunas. Einfaches, aber leckeres Essen (Fisch und Hühnchen). Strom (Handy aufladen!) gibt es nur stundenweise und zwar nur im Gemeinschaftsbereich. Trotzdem: Gute Internetverbindung (z.B. mit TIGO). Wir waren 6(!) Tage dort und konnten superschöne Ausflüge machen. Kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag für die Insel: Mehr Sitz- und Liegegelegenheiten zum Chillen. Auch etwas mehr zum Einkaufen (Snacks, …) wäre empfehlenswert. Kokosnüsse gibt es für teure 3 Dollar. Fazit: Eine Insel zum Entschleunigen. Our tour guide made us feel welcome had fruits upon delivery as a refresher to start the day ,spoke our native language and ensured the entire tour was organized 1000/10! We saw four islands, took many pictures and met many great people Last one hour of driving was really windy with potholes as mentioned and advertised many times prior. Michael was really nice to accomodate and gave me the front seat (highly recommended) The tour was mostly just a transportation service from hotel to the various islands and back (road and boat). We didn’t meet Michael or team on this trip. Would’ve liked a tour guide present to talk more about the islands and the history of the Indians (Gunas) and their daily lives etc First and only meal service is at 12pm so highly recommend to have breakfast before the pick up at 5am or utilise the grocery store stop over at the beginning of the trip Overall a great day to San BlasPosted on Airbnb

The tour to the islands was fun and I felt safe the entire time. Being in the beautiful waters, and seeing the fish and starfish made the journey worth it. CherellApril 8, 2022The experience overall was magical. Everyone was extremely kind and generous. The beaches were beautiful! You can stand up in the shallow water at several locations. I loved that we got the option to buy homemade purses, jewelry, and coconuts at the beach store. The roads leading to the starting point however, we’re terrible. If you have motion sickness or vertigo, you may want to consider not going.Load more
